How do I create an account?
Go to app.aegister.com, click Log in, then Register. The full steps are in Cyber Console: getting started.I signed up but only see “Welcome!”. What now?
Your account is not linked to an organization yet. Ask an Owner of your organization to invite you, or write to info@aegister.com. If your email domain matches an organization already in the console, you join it as a Viewer when you sign in.Which sign-in methods are available?
Email and password, or your GitHub, Microsoft or Google account. Signing in with a password requires an authenticator app: you set it up at your first login and enter a one-time code each time. With GitHub, Microsoft or Google, your provider’s own sign-in security applies instead. To reset your password, click Forgot password? on the sign-in page.How do I change the language?
Use the EN / IT selector in the top bar. The choice is saved in your browser, not in your account.How do I find a page, a task or a control quickly?
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows, Linux), or click Search or jump to… in the top bar. The search finds pages, actions and organizations; the selected organization’s tasks, controls, documents and task FAQ; the training videos, down to the chapter; and these guides, down to the heading. Enter opens the result.Can I use the console on a phone?
Yes. On a narrow screen a bar at the bottom opens Dashboard, Cyber Posture, Incidents, Cloud Defender and More, for the menu; each item shows only with the licence and role it needs. What can each role do?
- Viewer: read only. Dashboards, Cyber Posture and evaluations, no changes. Incidents are for Security Officers and Owners.
- Security Officer: everything a Viewer can do, plus evaluate and add frameworks, handle incident notifications, edit the organization profile and remove users.
- Owner: everything a Security Officer can do, plus add users and change their roles, manage VPN profiles and request licences.
How do I get a licence, or more VPN seats?
Licences are activated by Aegister. An Owner opens Organizations, clicks the organization and, on the Licenses tab, clicks Acquire licenses; on a page your organization has no licence for, the button is Acquire license. Pick the products and click Request licenses: this opens an email to info@aegister.com.Where can I see the statistics of all my organizations?
The Dashboard shows one organization at a time: a status tile per service, Needs your attention (the most urgent items first), the V-CISO compliance per framework and a card for each service with its own Open link. If you belong to more than one organization, switch between them with the organization selector at the top.Virtual CISO
How do I evaluate a compliance framework?
Open vCISO → Evaluations and click Evaluate on the framework’s card. Pick a category: its controls appear one at a time, each with its level, a justification and evidence files. Move with Next and Previous and click Save step to save the category. You can also open a control from Cyber Posture and click Evaluate there.How do I add a compliance framework to my organization?
Open the organization from Organizations and go to its Compliance tab (or click Manage frameworks in a framework card’s menu on vCISO → Evaluations). Switch on the frameworks it follows, for example NIS 2 or ISO 27001, and click Save: each one gets its card in vCISO. The list shows the frameworks Aegister offers. Switching a framework off removes it from vCISO with its evaluations, and switching it on again brings them back. Owners and Security Officers manage the frameworks.Why don’t I see the Evaluate button?
It needs the organization’s vCISO licence and the Security Officer or Owner role. Viewers see the evaluations without it.Does the console send incident notifications to CSIRT Italia for me?
No. In vCISO → Incident Notifications click New incident and go through three steps: What happened (optionally starting from a template), Is it significant? and Notification. Aegister then drafts each NIS 2 filing with its deadline: the pre-notification within 24 hours, the notification within 72 hours and the final report within a month. On the incident page, Transfer to ACN explains step by step how a browser bookmark fills the ACN portal form for you; it never presses the portal’s buttons. You press Invia on the portal yourself, then mark the filing as filed in the console. How it works, on the incident list, sums up the process. This needs the NIS 2 Incident Notification licence and the Security Officer or Owner role.Perimeter protection
How can I check an IP, URL, domain or file?
Open Perimeter Protection → Threat Intelligence. Paste an IPv4 address, a URL (withhttp://
or https://), a domain or a file digest (MD5, SHA-1 or SHA-256) and click Check, or drop a
file on the page. A file is not uploaded: your browser computes its SHA-256 fingerprint and only that
is checked. Each kind of lookup needs its own Threat Intelligence licence.
How do I check the status of my web application?
Open Perimeter Protection → Cloud Defender and click your application’s row. The Cloud Defender Status page opens with five tabs: Overview, Attackers, Blocked requests, Detections (what was flagged but not blocked, for you to review) and Protection (your banned and allowed addresses, restricted pages and country rule). Every hour. The page does not refresh on its own: reload it to see the latest data. The status page covers the last 7 days by default; choose 24h, 30 days or 12 months at the top.Which devices does Aegister VPN support?
The app runs on iOS and Android. On Windows, macOS and Linux, import the profile’s.ovpn
certificate into an OpenVPN client. An Owner creates a profile in Secure VPN → Manage VPNs → New VPN profile with the
user’s email address. The user receives an email with the app links and installs the profile from
My VPNs → Install certificate. Each profile uses one seat of the VPN licence; deleting it frees
the seat.
