# Alerts and reports

> Who is emailed about Cloud Defender, and how to change it.

## The weekly report

Every Monday, a PDF covering the previous seven days: totals, the most active sources with their
reputation and network, where the traffic came from, per-domain activity, and the most recent blocked
requests with the path each one asked for.

## Choosing who receives alerts

Alerts are **opt-in, per person and per product**. Nobody receives them because of the role they
hold; somebody has to decide.

On **Organizations → your organization → Organization users**, each member has a checkbox per
product — ATB, Cloud Defender, V-CISO. Tick it and that person receives that product's alerts for
that organization. Ticking saves immediately.

* Everything starts unticked. An organization where nobody is ticked receives no alerts, which is
  the intended answer rather than an oversight: an unconfirmed distribution list is not a list.
* Only an **Owner** can change these. Security Officers see them read-only.
* A column is disabled where the organization has no subscription for that product.
* A pending invitation shows a dash. There is no membership to attach a preference to until the
  invitation is accepted.

## Administrative notices

Separate from the above, and separate on purpose. **Organizations → General information → Point of
contact** carries an *Administrative notices* switch. That address receives licence and renewal
notices — it does not receive security alerts or the technical weekly report.

Licence expiry warnings go to Owners and to those administrative contacts, without opt-in: a licence
running out is contractual, and the people who can renew it need to hear about it whether or not
anyone ticked a box. You are warned 30 days out, again the day before, and once more when it expires.
